Jeffrey T. Shifrin Jeff is a 1990 Graduate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C., a Registered Environmental Property Assessor recognized by the National Registry of Environmental Professionals and a certified AHERA Asbestos Inspector / Management Planner. During his acedemic career, he was awarded many honors including being placed on the Academic Dean's List in the spring of 1989 and receiving the "Outstanding Young Men in America" award in 1990. In that same year, Jeff began working for the environmental grassroots lobby, Clean Water Action, in Washington, D.C. While he was there, Jeff learned the fundamentals of fund raising and public relations. Participating in this grassroots movement served only to strengthen his interest in and dedication to environmental issues threatening our nation and the world. In 1991, Jeff became an environmental Technician for Environmental Operations, Inc. in St. Louis. He worked on asbestos abatement projects, PCB clean-ups, underground storage tank removals, groundwater monitoring well installation and soil borings. Soon, Jeff left his position with Environmental Operations, Inc. to join his father as Vice President of Shifrin & Associates, Inc., carrying with him the knowledge and convictions to enhance the already thriving firm. In addition to performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments regularly, he has also played an essential part in Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (Limited Sub-Surface Investigations), as well as many asbestos related projects. It was this experience and skill with asbestos issues that has opened the door for Shifrin & Associates, Inc. in this field. Jeff attends an eight (8) hour refresher course for his Asbestos Inspector / Management Planner certification annually. He also attends the eight (8) hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Worker refresher course annually. These classes enable Jeff to keep his certifications up to date so that he can continue to provide the excellent services that Shifrin & Associates, Inc. clients have come to expect. |
